IBO Player Setup Guide

Follow these simple steps to install IBO Player and start streaming FlexeTV on any device. Setup takes less than 5 minutes.

What is IBO Player?

IBO Player is one of the most popular IPTV media player applications available across almost every platform and operating system. With a clean user interface, smooth playback, and essential features like EPG (Electronic Program Guide), favourites, and catch-up support, IBO Player is the recommended application for FlexeTV subscribers.

IBO Player supports M3U playlists, Xtream Codes API, and portal (MAC address) connections. It is available on Android, iOS, Amazon Fire TV, Samsung Smart TV, LG Smart TV, Windows, and macOS.

Step-by-Step Installation

Download IBO Player

Download the IBO Player application from your device's official app store:

  • Android devices: Google Play Store — search "IBO Player"
  • Amazon Fire TV / Firestick: Amazon Appstore — search "IBO Player"
  • Samsung Smart TV: Samsung App Store (Tizen)
  • LG Smart TV: LG Content Store (webOS)
  • iOS (iPhone/iPad): Apple App Store — search "IBO Player"
  • Windows / macOS: Download from the official IBO Player website

Launch the Application and Get Your Device ID

Open IBO Player after installation. On the first launch, the application will display a Device ID and Device Key on the screen. These are unique to your device and required for activation.

Take note of both the Device ID and Device Key. You will need to provide these to FlexeTV for subscription activation.

Activate Your FlexeTV Subscription

Send your Device ID and Device Key to our support team along with your order confirmation:

Our team will activate your device within minutes. You will receive a confirmation email with your login credentials and playlist details.

Add Your Playlist

Once activated, open IBO Player and navigate to Settings. You have three connection options:

  • Xtream Codes API (Recommended): Enter the server URL, username, and password from your activation email. This method provides EPG, catch-up, and series organisation automatically.
  • M3U URL: Enter the M3U playlist URL provided in your email. Simple and works on all devices.
  • Portal (MAC): Enter the portal URL. Primarily used on MAG devices and STB emulators.

Start Streaming

After adding your playlist, IBO Player will load all available channels and VOD content. Browse by category (Italian, Sports, Movies, Kids, News, etc.) and select a channel to begin streaming.

Content is available in SD, HD, Full HD, and 4K quality depending on the source broadcast. Use the EPG (TV Guide) to see programme schedules and set reminders for upcoming shows.

Troubleshooting Common Issues

Channels not loading

Ensure your internet connection is stable (minimum 25 Mbps recommended for 4K). Try restarting the IBO Player application. If the issue persists, clear the app cache and re-enter your playlist credentials.

Buffering during playback

Buffering is typically caused by network congestion. Connect your device via Ethernet instead of Wi-Fi for the best experience. Alternatively, switch to a lower quality stream (HD instead of 4K) temporarily.

EPG not displaying

If using Xtream Codes API, the EPG loads automatically. For M3U connections, ensure the EPG URL has been added in IBO Player settings. Allow up to 15 minutes for the full EPG to download.
